Pink-tinged Tennis at Cromer Raises Cash for Cancer Charity

Philanthropy NewsIt would bring frowns at Wimbledon, but it raised smiles - and cash for a cancer charity - at Cromer Tennis Club’s courts today.

Among those doing their bit was committee member Carol Wright, who has beaten cancer three times. She had ovarian cancer in the 1970s, breast cancer in 1983 and skin cancer in 2005. “I keep beating it, but I know how important research is,” said the 65-year-old retired managing director of an offshore energy personnel company.
