Kids Get Running for Charity

Four-year-old Tia Patel and five-year-old Oliver Cross took part in the Bupa Mini Great Manchester Run on Monday in aid of the Ronald McDonald House Manchester.

Largest Race, Smallest Lottery

Nearly 100,000 people applied for one of the 48,000 bibs in the race that will take place Sunday, November 3. It’s expected to be the largest in the event’s history. More than 33,000 runners applied via the random draw lottery that was held Wednesday, May 29.


GREAT NORTH RUN: Special Charity Day

GREATNORTHRUNAlmost 40,000 runners have taken part in the annual Great North Run, many raising funds for charity, including a man with a fridge on his back.

39,953 runners set off on the Great North Run on Sunday in Newcastle, heading for South Shields.

The BUPA sponsored event in the North East of England is the second biggest half marathon worldwide and the biggest mass participation race in the UK, attracting more runners than even the London Marathon.
