Philanthropist Joe Segal: A passion for helping

“But if it’s going to benefit an organization, I’ll be there.”

Charity cycle from Rome to Reading

61A Fundraiser from East Reading has returned from a gruelling 1,400 mile charity bike ride from Rome to Reading.

Barbara Frost, 62, of Eastern Avenue, embarked on the challenge for the Buscot Babies Fund, which supports premature babies born at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

She set off from the Vatican in Rome on May 1, and cycled more than 50 miles per day, travelling through Cannes, Avignon and Lyon, before arriving back in Reading on Sunday, June 3.
