Teachers Go Pink for Cause

That's why she organised teachers at Pakuranga College to paint their nails pink for a small donation to the worthy cause.

Mrs van den Berg says that when she saw a TV commercial about the Pink Ribbon Breakfasts she knew she wanted to get involved.

Covington Catholic Students Make $1,000 Grant Through Philanthropy Club

236900tn300Covington Catholic students who participate in the school’s Philanthropy Club made a grant of $1000 to the “Young Life Capernaum” program, a division of Young Life which focuses on students with disabilities. This was the second year that students were charged with making a $1000 grant to a local organization.

This year’s grant money came as a gift to the school by Mr. Dennis Doyle, specifically earmarked for this project.
