Azam Wants 25% Minority Quota in Welfare Schemes

In the light of the state government's plan to reserve 20 per cent quota for minorities in various welfare schemes, Minister of Minority Welfare Azam Khan has said his plan is to get 25 per cent of the benefits reserved for minorities.
Talking to the media on Friday, Khan said it will be a step to empower Muslims and other minorities since they cannot be given reservation in jobs due to constitutional restrictions.

Ricky Gervais is supporting the WSPA Red Collar campaign that is calling on governments to run dog friendly vaccination programmes to help stamp out rabies.
Gervais has come out in support of the World Society for Protection of Animals - WSPA charity’s Red Collar campaign, a campaign for dog friendly measures instead of euthanasia for dogs as a way of controlling rabies.
