Philanthropy NewsThe head of a South St. Petersburg charity and the pastor of a St. Petersburg church are accused of stealing nearly $150,000 in a real estate deal from a Palm Harbor woman who could no longer afford to live in her house, according to documents released Wednesday.

Philanthropist Installing Water PlantA local businessman has installed a water filtration plant at Datanagar (Badami Bagh) to facilitate the residents in getting clean drinking water in the area.

 

The businessman is also distributing plastic bottles (11-litre capacity) to each resident visiting the plant to get clean drinking water.

IU Approves World’s First School of Philanthropy

 

Indiana UniversityThe Board of Trustees of Indiana University has approved a plan to establish the nation’s first School of Philanthropy. The degree will carry the same weight as a degree from one of the university’s other schools, such as liberal arts.

 

The School of Philanthropy will combine under one umbrella academic and research on the philanthropic sector.
